It all started back in 2008...

Actually, looking back it started many years before. But let's start our story then, when my daughter and partner, Breanne got engaged. During the planning process, we quickly realized that we worked well together and seamlessly planned her dream (PINK) wedding. Back in a day when there was no Pinterest, we had 2 wedding magazines that we scoured for inspiration. We did it all ourselves, from the Save the Dates, invitations, design, decor, blooms, and yes I was crazy enough to make her huge 5-tiered pink damask stenciled wedding cake! We brought to life her vision of her dream wedding! We still receive compliments from friends about her wedding. We decided then that when Breanne got back from her honeymoon, we would take our skills and love of designing life's moments to the next level and that's when Florette Event Design was born. We've come a long way since her wedding, and have partnered with many industry professionals to bring beautiful and cohesive events to life, but always with a special touch!

For years, Wendy has enjoyed hosting and helping friends and family celebrate life's special moments using her creativity in floral design, cake decorating & decor. Her love for celebrations began at age 14, when she began working for a neighbors wedding planning & cake decorating business. At 17, she created her first wedding cake for her friend, a 5-tiered masterpiece. Her attention to even the smallest detail has been noted by many as helping each event be personal and forever memorable.

With a background in corporate event coordinating and marketing, Breanne has always enjoyed using her organizational skills to properly execute each clients unique vision. She takes pride in building a strong support system for her clients, and always listens intently to learn what the needs are of each individual to help ensure a priceless and special event.
